Juliet

Tue, 10/10/2017 - 21:39 -- Rymae27

Twirling my blonde locks in your hand,

Faint whispers falling,

Under your breath.

I smell her heavy kiss,

Inside the curve of your neck.

Please don't take another step,

Tell me how you fell for Juliet.

Was it how she blushed when you met?

Or how the sunset

Hit her hazel eyes?

You abandoned me at sea,

Left me drowning in your sheets.

3:39 am you're stumbling home,

"I still love you, it won't happen again"

pressed into my forgiving lips.

Don't worry I'll clean out

Your drawer and leave your bag,

By the locked door.

Waking up this melancholy morning,

My broken eyes,

Bloodshot and sore.

Silver puddles,

On the cold bathroom floor.

The phone beings to ring,

You sing an empty apology.

Your Casanova of a heart doesn't really want me.

Darling, go back to sleep.

Send my condolences to Juliet for me.
