Inner Release

She kept on smiling, and held in tears,

afraid to release a drop, or the flow of inner fears

She was taught to appear steadfast and strong

because any cracked control was entirely wrong

She was brainwashed to believe, and pushed to perceive,

that any source of hope or release was hard to conceive

So one day the pressure caved in, and hurt the smiling

face that soon gave up on trying and in to crying

All the advice she was taught was now forgotten

and her staged control surrendered to a mind so rotten

For she was left to herself, and abandoned all hope

when the truth was revealed for all the lies that were spoke
