Ink and Paper

When all seems lost
And hope has fled
What solace can I find
But that of ink and paper.

The pen is mightier
Than the sword
But some nights
The sword wins.

Without ink and paper
I would have tears and pain
Tears and Pain like
So many others.

Ink and Paper
A Messiah disguised
In a receipt for
Four twenty eight.
