Oh, for I wish I had hands
And there they go again, the happy couple on their walk
Holding hands completely in bliss with being with each other
How desperate I am for that type of affection
How much I long for someone to grip me like that
But my leaves cannot repkace their hands
And my trunk cannot take place of their traveling legs
How they walk as if it is nothing
The looks upon their faces
For all I long for is to have a face and to have those legs and to have those hands
Oh for I wish I was human
One day I could walk along this narrow forest
This narrow green land
And maybe, just maybe someone could accompany me and hold my hand
Oh, for I wish I had hands
