I'm at my aunt's funeral

She's dead and I'm gonna die

And this will all come to nothing, because I don't do things half way

This won't end peacefully

I might smile as I burn the things that I have to get rid of

Just so I don't have to smell you anymore.

What business do you have asking me for closure?

I've been left open since November two years ago

A month before you met my grandmother

And today she lost her second child

And you hit me up for what?

An apology?

I don't have room for you in my hands today.

My ex texted me for the first time since our breakup. I was at my second funeral for an aunt in as many years.
