I still remember

Yes I was old seven

when the planes came crashing down

When firey gray skyes hit an unexpecting city

and unexpected loses were abound.

Yes I was tiny

but I still understood

not all the big words

but the sadness, it overtook

Yes I didn't know

what a terroist was

but hope I understood.

And I hope I saw that September day

when planes came crashing down

and a city and country,

both sad, confused and unexpecting

came together.
