I just want to be heard

"Speak up!" They say, "You're too quiet."

I don't want to be loud, I just want to be heard.

I am a quite soul, I don't want to be loud.

Is it mandatory for one to reach out to others and demand responses?

I don't want to try so hard.

I want to make genuine connections.

I don't want or need to be entertained.

Sit with me and look at the stars, look at the moon, smell the roses.

Sit with me and speak in a gentle, warm manner.

Walk with me and let us observe the world around us.

"You're always so quiet." they say, "nobody can hear you."

I don't want to be loud, I just want to be heard.

If that is the case, I'll wait till somebody can.

That is when I know I've found a genuine connection.

A connection excluding the theatrical aspects.

A connection that brings a good energy to my soul.

I don't want to be loud, I just want to be heard.
