I do not ask to flee.

I'm accumulated of amalglation of breaking points

That I would ever be ashamed

To write the glories of your name,

Because they seem boring-

Compared to some.

But how can YOU be boring?

The older I get the bigger You are

Dim and glowing, a distant star

You are brighter, still, by far,

Than I.

I get the invitation to come an rest

In relationship, better, best

Than and of all the world could provide.

I come close Savior,

I gleefully die.

For there is nothing in me,

That is worth redeeming-

BUT  o the Joy in my heart,

When I saw that Christ

Set me apart

And gave Himself up for ME!

Weak and savage

He set me free.

So I do not ask to flee,

From the Cross,

That stands before me.
