I Am the Sun Rising with Day (Sonnet)

Awaking in darkness, the night will fade

Earlier than sun, kiss the moon goodbye

Dead without purpose before human eyes

With the rising sun, will it then cascade?

Will man find enough to greet life as day?

Their future hopes might motivate arise,

For love, for passion, one must not deny

flooded fulfilment in ambrosia rays

I, unlike the blinded, know my meaning

One day my life will be in my own hands.

I’ll drive down the path to fill my psyche

Living the career I always have planned

I wake up to move toward my destiny

Yet I still find joy through days I withstand
