I am not perfect.

Location

I am not perfect.

Mistakes are my best friend,

So I practice saying sorry.

Awkward was a word made just to describe me,

So I keep my head down.

I laugh at the wrong times,

So I don't laugh at the right times.

Quiet time is my bae,

So I keep socializing as a side bae.

I'm an introvert,

So I learned how to be an extrovert.

No, I don't want to talk about it,

So I "went to bed".

I am not perfect, but I am flawless.

I am not a perfect sight to see.

My dimples decided it would be fun to be uneven,

So I don't smile too big.

Uneven shoulders will be the end of me,

So I don't wear halters.

Nobody wants a tomato face,

So I wear foundation.

Looking for long legs, look elsewhere,

So I buy jeans online.

I am not perfect, but I am flawless.

I am not a perfect self motivator.

I look in a mirror and I am not always proud.

Sometimes I'd be okay with hiding in the crowd,

Never be a bother

And be a good quiet daughter.

But sometimes I break the rules,

I cease to act like a box of jewels.

I take my circle of "perfection"

And give myself some direction.

I carve myself out

onto a flawless route.

I am a flawless sight to see.

My dimples decided it would be fun to be uneven,

But they produce a smile everyone can believe in.

Uneven shoulders will be the end of me,

But they're good for a laugh as anyone can see.

Nobody wants a tomato face,

But here it is, full of blush and grace.

Looking for long legs, look elsewhere,

But these little guys love their fun more than any other pair.

I am flawless.

I am flawless.

Mistakes are my best friend,

But I make them everyday to find an outcome I comprehend.

Awkward was a word made just to describe me,

But I find people with whom my awkwardness can agree.

I laugh at the wrong times

But it's who I am, there are worse crimes.

Quiet time is my bae,

But trust me, I smile every time you say "hey".

I'm an introvert,

But don't deny me my right to flirt.

No, I don't want to talk about it,

But I appreciate your concern, every last bit.

I am flawless

I am flawless

I will fall,

Society will knock me down to a crawl

But I will stand right back up

Because there is only one of me,

And I will be my own.

I will eat popcorn with my chopsticks you will see.

I will play oboe even as everyone starts to 'til I'm the best I can be.

I will dance in my kitchen all day long.

I will sing my own theme song.

I will take naps at the most inopportune times.

I will end this stanza because I'm tired of rhymes.

I am flawless.

I am me.
