I am a Fighter

Little girl

Pink tutus and ribbons

Pretty lace

Perfect routine

Big day

Butterflies release in my tummy

Bright lights

Ribbon hits the floor

Disaster

How could this happen?

No time to worry

Finish with a brilliant grin

Young student

Entire future to behold

Intelligent

Knowledge seeking

Four years in

Program designed for gifted children

Expectancy,

Rejection

Embarrassment

Am I not meant for greatness?

I’ll show them gifted

Study harder than ever before

First love

Captured by bliss and joy

Whole world

Best friend

Several months

This is going to last forever

I love you too,

Whore

Verbal abuse

Is this what love is supposed to feel like?

I deserve better

Acknowledge my best qualities

Always healthy

Never a care in the world

Free

Unbound

No more than sixteen

Nothing will be serious

Nerves

Type One

Diabetes

Not me, I’m not tainted by disease

Wear my insulin pump proudly
