humans are selfish

all to the core

whether they show it

matters not one bit at all

sure some care

but they're a bore

humans can dis

if they dare

always seeking more

rarely looking through another door

they are sheep

not that deep

caring for themselves

and refusing help

their only weakness

or is it a strength

to accept each other

with so much doubt

why so guarded

is it true

would you sacrifice

all you hold dear

for a stranger

you met last year

i stand corrected

selfish humans are now

one of a kind
