The Human Race

A blank white canvas

Said and done

Left for us to create

Much fun

To role out hills

Of greens and browns

And hang up stars

Of yellow crowns

We would make

The perfect place

Where all could roam

Free and safe

From what we’ve now

Established as home

A land of fear and

Cruel unknown

Where fun and games

Clash death and doom

Hence all eternal pain

Will loom

Over our heads

As shadowy graves

Reminding us how we behave

Against what’s right

And named our wrongs

So for

However long

We choose to run

The race of one

Our existence

Remains the same

The fate of all

Bound tight in

Man-made chains.
