How's It Going?

Dear Depression,

Glad you haven't shown up recently,

Glad that I don't feel trapped in my own skin,

Crawling under pressure I can't find,

Trailing into the world with a tired vigor,

Erased from a fresher perspective

Glad that the worlds leaving my mouth don't fall emptily,

That I can say "I'm Fine" and mean it,

That my smile is no longer loaded,

That my laugh flows from deep within,

Filling my entire being with something you make impossible to have

I'm glad for this moment of release,

No matter how brief
