Honest

He was just as innocent as you,

or maybe he was better,

His soft, calm personality, just as light as a feather,

walking home after a long day,

never intended to cross your way,

but you made his life your obligation,

it's hard enough already for a young black man,

and now he's answering to you? with a gun in your hand?

oh the stupidity and foolishness of society,

you can never escape this now, regardless of who you try to be,

as aggravting as it is, to watch my back around my peers, staying alert and all ears, because I never know who hears,

Life is crazy aint it?
