Hiding From The World

Location

A smile held by paper clips,

is cracking near the seams.

Marble eyes that grin and sparkle,

now barely have a gleam.

I hide behind my shadow,

afraid to show my face.

For if I see too much,

I could be gone without a trace.

The world seems bright and shiny,

but when you look within,

Every single person,

is tainted with a sin.

We're all judged,

yet were all the same.

I guess Harris was right to say:

"Life's a dirty game."
