Her Smile.

Location

Her hair is a mess, her eyes are swollen

Her make-up is running down her face

She’s got bitten back nails, a torn shoe

But her smile still remains

The smile doesn’t fade, nor does it crack

She knows that it’s not her fault

She stands broken but proud, never looking back down

Her inner strength exposed

Her flaws are like stars; too many for one to count

But she smiles because it’s alright

She has a strong heart and a strong will

These flaws will forever shine about

Regardless of the past, the future awaits

Tomorrow will be better, tomorrow will be great

So she smiles and takes a step forward
