Graduate School Aceeptance

My heart is beating faster than normal.

Perhaps it’s the coffee or all this anticipation.

On edge and full of emotion.

An agonizing wait as today is the day.

The day that could change.

A pivotal point in my future.

I fail at fighting back tears and pleading with God.

I know he knows best and I know I must wait.

My patience is almost non-existent.

I’ve check and checked and rechecked looking for the notification.

Finally it’s here and the outcome is what I hoped.

I made it. My dreams are sure to come true.

A Master’s of Science from Winston-Salem State University, 2016.

Today I celebrate. Today I look forward. Today is once again the best day of my life.
