Glorified Wallflower

ta-ta-ta-TA

ta-ta-ta-TA

the music is blasting,

people are laughing,

and im struggling to keep in rhythm...

ta-ta-ta-TA

ta-ta-ta-TA

sweat trickling,

feat fumbling,

i count the steps in my head..

1-2-3-4

1-2-3-BANG!

ran into another dancer,

my seat is looking very nice right now,

but as i turn to retreat

she pulls me back,

helping me find my rhythm

ta-ta-ta-TA

ta-ta-ta-TA

looking into her eyes i calm down,

each step is filed with more confidence,

and we clumsily yet happiy learn the floor,

ta-ta-ta-TA

ta-ta-ta-TA

im comfortable now,

staring into her eyes

i hold her close and dance the night away...

but then the song ends

and i... retreat back to my seat...

I'm not one for parties...
