I take one look at you,
your curves sliding from left to right,
2 parentheses on either side.
Your independence strikes me.
I like it. Constant. Never changing.
But everything has 2 sides
and your dependent variable
runs across the board as wild,
changing what’s real and what’s not
so sometimes it seems you’re just imaginary
and I go insane trying to figure you out.
1 + 1 is supposed to equal 2
So why is it love + love = 1
and you and I equal none?
The same thing, same values,
we cancel each other out.
Even though they force us together
we continue to run parallel,
refusing to be with each other at any angle.
Ever.
Math.
This problem won’t work out.
