Flawless?

I am flawless.

You are flawless.

Our flaws are less than our beauty.

Isn't that what it is?

Not perfection,

Imperfection.

Not the hungering in a young girl's stomach

Willing the word to feed her.

Not the hours spent in front of the mirror

Fixing hair, perfecting makeup.

We are flawless because of our faults.

Because our eyes crinkle when we smile

And we are caught with a bit of boccoli between our teeth.

We don't have the double D bra size,

Or the pants that require a few sizes up than is needed of our legs.

The baby smooth skin,

Forget about it.

I have seen both sides of the struggle

Seen the pain.

But for what?

When will they find out

How flawless

They truly

Are
