Flag

A flag flying above the dry land
Is tattered by bullets and ripped apart
In the distance a person laying in the sand
Claims no life, no breath, no heart
But next to him, propped aside
Was the reason of peace, but the reason to fight

Where'd you go?
I miss you so
Seems like it's been forever
That you've been gone
Please come back home

If guns create peace then why do they die
For fighting in a much bigger war
Walking with flags the color of white, they walk by
Carrying a mechanical disease that would take soar
So what can the solution be? What would, what could
Make the world see, see what we should
Do to defend whats right, protect our rights
Some other way than having death as an answer

Where'd you go?
I miss you so
Seems like it's been forever
That you've been gone
Please come back home

Nations will rise, gaining power over the years
Eventually, all nations will have to fall and crumble
Down as the buried are covered in tears
And that's when they raised the flag over him
The flag ripped by bullets and tattered apart
While his son holds him, dearly in his heart

Where'd you go?
I miss you so
Seems like it's been forever
That you've been gone
Please come back home
