I found the fight in me
The strength in me
The ability to once again be free

You may have broken my heart
Tore me apart
But I'm still here
No more do I fear

I settled for less
Thinking you were the only man I needed to impress
But jokes on you because no longer am I that damsel in distress

I'm standing strong
The weak girl you once knew is long gone.
So pack you memories, keep them deep in your heart
because me moving on is only the start.

Now you're hurt, now you're afraid?
What happened when I needed you and you chose to get laid?
I wore my heart on my sleeve, gave you the best of me
but life's funny like that, changing what was meant to be
Our "I LOVE YOUs" and "I NEED YOUs" turned into tears and late night blues

It's okay though, it's alright
I'll learn to fight this with all my might.
Because life's too short
To wait in your love court

So don't come here
We're done shedding tears
I finally found me
The proud woman God intended me to be.

This poem really hit home for me. It expresses the hardship I went through in a breakup and how I found the strength in me to finally move on.
