Fear

Location

For once in this life,

I am plagued by the thing which has ruled mankind

Since the beginning.

I stop and look forward in this point in time,

the distance of knowledge far beyond

the reaches of the system--

the Galaxy--

the Universe. The knowledge of things past,

and the lack thereof in the future,

It tears me to pieces.

Inside, outside, the tears burn--

acid to the touch, they score my dermal casing

etching my veins deeper and deeper.

For once in my life, I feel truly afraid.

Unsurety clouds my mind--

my judgement.

I'm finding it hard to stand in this darkened casket,

My hopes,

my dreams,

my life,

my all--

All of it endangered, and gasping for air.

You caused this.

I want to scream--

yell, "STOP MOVING AND JUST LISTEN FOR A MOMENT!"

Insanity is in,

he wants his life back.

I am afraid.

Knowledge is a double-edged sword.

A blessing or curse,

no matter,

I'd rather set it upon my throat

Than have it at my back.
