Fear

Location

You stand there so silently,

in the perfect frame of mind,

reflecting me with judgment,

watching my tears flow like wine.

The pain echoed in my heart,

it never wanted to leave,

took my pride, love, and courage,

and ran like a thieve.

With hours of slumber only dreaming of hope,

but awaking in the morn,

hard to settle, hard to cope.

Bitter taste of nothing to live for,

utterly cold like a shiver,

seeming like and endless hole,

ran up my spine like a marathon

Releasing a slight quick quiver.

My soul once before solid,

now ruins happiness like rain,

pulling a knife out my back,

smiling to mask the pain.

To lack of only faith,

Layering my body with gear,

to stand with independence,

Fighting a battle of fear.
