That day was as dark and dreary as hell.
Death appeared and knocked me into a dismal despair.
My friend, he fell, and I lay here and dwell.
The horrible thought made me aware.

Full of doubt and sorrowful pessimism,
No longing for life, no desire for love,
He took his greatest item and deprived it of freedom.
He fell into heaven, and flew like a dove.

His soul tumbled along with his being.
Emotion, connection, compassion all disappeared.
No longer able to stand his being,
He took the most valued item and had it speared.

The mother of the fallen soul sobbed, screamed, and cried
The lover of the perished spirit lay desolate, deserted, and dejected.
His friends, shocked, stunned, and surprised have cried.
All mourn the soul that was rested.
