In the face of despair

In the face of despair

One would feel the need to give in

When I look at you,

I see desparation

When I peer in the mirror,

I see a reflection of you and me.

The world seems cruel

But there is more to it.

Within every darkness

There is a light

That shines bright.

Within sorrow,

There is hope.

Within damnation,

There is salvation.

The world may seem black and white

But never give up

And it will become a bit more

Colorful.
