The Facade

My long black hair covers my face most of the time,
They tell me to uncover it,
No! No! No!
I don’t want to,
It covers my face, but it also covers who I am,
With my sadness,
My anger,
Everything, it covers everything,
It gives me security for not to mess things up,
I wouldn’t like people to look at me wrong,
Even though they see me,
They know me as Jennifer,
Some people don’t even get to know me,
What is my name,
Faking that I’m doesn’t help me,
I get frustrated sometimes,
I don’t know what to do,
I want to scream and let my emotions out,
I can’t, I’m scared,
Scared of losing everything one day,
Only I know who I am,
Only me,
No one else needs to know, no one,
Behind my face are a lot of things,
And behind my hair… is my face.
