Since the day I entered High School

I knew it would be more than cool

Sitting in a classroom for hours on end,

this seemed to be the ongoing trend

Every day, walk in then sit down

Immediately, teachers cant possibly expect more than a frown

They always compain and say "are you guys even listening?"

My answer every time is "I'm sorry, I swear i was dreaming."

You see its quite simple to change a students attitutude

All you have to do is get us in the right mood

Instead of going about class with a monotone lecture

create activities and talk with enthusiasm, you'll see a difference i'm sure

You see, kids dont want to learn in a gray environment

We want something exciting, we'll deal with your methods in retirement

So teachers, in a nut shell

You're students are bored, can't you tell?

Be creative with your lessons, don't just make task revolved around reading

and maybe next you ask, my response wont be "I swear I was dreaming."
