Eternal righteousness and inner strife

Eternal righteousness and inner strife

Don’t have the means to spare a person’s life.

The storms we must face are nothing to the drought.

The thirst for food and water often wins out.

Where are you, God?

‘Cause we need our health.

Our worth is in the dozens.

The falling snow has left our hearts frozen.

Sleeping on the benches,

Afterlife in the trenches.

Where are you, God?

‘Cause we need our wealth.

Locked out and the church bells ring loud.

Those like my friends have formed a large crowd.

Their love for one another has fabricated hate.

Preachings have turned souls away from Heaven’s gate.

Where are you, God?

‘Cause we need you near.

Mothers wade through the blood.

The suspect’s being judged.

Bullets fired and children dead,

Weapons are more important than the lives shead.

Where are you, God?

‘Cause we’re full of fear.

Turn to Me and you will thirst no more.

Your home will no longer be on the floor.

I alone can determine one’s fate.

I gave up my son’s life because of this predetermined date.

Where is your faith, child?

Because I am right here.
