A Dream Is All I Need

Our dreams scattered in a ocean of lies disguised as pretty little dandelions

Because with everything beautiful comes its ugly past

Our dreams floating in the wind

Our bodies waiting to gasp a breath of what a dream come true feels like

Our lungs enclosing as each dream becomes more out of reach

The further that we reach the further the actuality of a dream come true is from us

Our hearts begin to bleed black

From all the ink that told us we weren't good enough to dream

Even told us we shouldn't dream they told us our future was Doomed

But yet the angels continued to speak to our spirits

Because a failure only lives in those who can not dream

Dreams set us free from opression

Ambition is what sets the strong apart from the weak

You can take anything I own in this world away but as long as

I can dream my spirit will not die

All I need is a dream
