Dream

Are you a sweet and lovely swimming dream?
Shall I compare thee to his summer love?
I feel as if my feelings are teeming.
You are like a required dove, by Jove!
I cannot believe you go around,
As if you are not a god, but a clown.
You tie me down and hold me to the ground.
It was bound that one day you would be crowned.
But yet you ignore me like I'm a wall.
I can feel my heart breaking into two.
You treat me as if I won't have it all.
My brain has gone in a whirl, like a zoo.
How will I get you for myself to hold?
In my dreams, we will be together, sold.

Before I read the title of your comment, I automatically thought of Shakespeare, because the poem reminded me so much of his sonnet that starts "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" That sonnet is wonderful alone, but it's so cool how you used inspiration from another poet to make your own poem!
