Describe Yourself

A slow and steady rainfall

Bringing life to those around

The ache in your stomach from laughing too much

Bittersweet in itself

The vast ocean with parts unseen

Capable of great strength and serene calm

A grand pine tree

Unwavering in a lush green forest

A complex puzzle

Pushed away when things get tough

The independent film you were reluctant to watch

But glad you did

Beauty is found deep within

Not in flashing lights and glitter

But in people’s words and characters

For I am not a hotel

For you to stay once in awhile

I am the coziness of a home

With my roots planted firmly in the ground
