Dear Young Girl

Dear Young Girl

Dear young girl, you just now arrived to the roller coaster of pain and screams inside,

To the sounds of hands scratching the walls

Dear young girl, pick up and hear my call

You, you, and only you will feel the enduring pain that you can never seal

Do you hear that?

Punches and screams from across the hall.

Dear young girl, please pick up and hear my call

See look there, there, and over there, the nasty floors and pulled out hair

The medication you take to feel nothing when you lost dedication

The medication you take to feel nothing at all

Dear young girl, breathe stay alive, and fight

Don’t show people the stereotypes are right

Pumping your chest, trying to see if you can get one more last breath

Let air in, survive it all, never let it end

Dear young girl, please pick up and hear my call

I’m ten years late but I had to stall,

I wanted to see how you turned out

And what you made your life about

Dear young girl, pick up and hear my call,

It’s older you, trying to get involved.

Wow....I love this so much. I think we all wonder what our future self would say to us if they saw the horrible mistakes we have made. I love your perspective of it. Plz read my poems and comment
