Dear Freshman,

Dear Freshman,

Life is like ocean waves

Unpredictably unsettling,

Boldly beautiful,

Carelessly cascading

Never hesitant to bombard bountiful beaches

Inhibiting journeys through persistent attacks

Still, relentless as waves appear

There is always a break

A peaceful pristine moment.

Conducting a melodious orchestra of hope

Light pierces through immense despair

Liberating hostages of cyclical abuse

Offering optimal opportunities to dream

Invincible until the next wave

Pounding salt in the wounds of the survivors

dreams Devastated, humanity Helpless, love Lost

Breaks are the sole reason for faith

Glimpses of serenity serenading souls of sufferers

Waves are the catalyst for strength

Our training to become tenacious

Sincerely, Senior
