Dear Childhood

Dear Childhood,

Starting with the pictures on the walls,

To the books on the shelves and the toys on the floor.

I loved that little one story house that feels welcoming and is filled with joy.

There are not enough words to describe,

How I am supposed to feel.

I started with you, the photographs.

I’ve known these photographs

My shyness learned to fade away just as the pictures have.

The innocence that you have, will forever be there.

The memories will forever replay in my mind, as if it was a song on repeat.

You have started my course, my plan, where I am heading into the future.

You might be stuck in the past, where you belong, but you will never be forgotten.

For I will always remember the life that I’ve had.

That life where the only worry in the world would be getting caught for sneaking candy.

Now that I have grow into who I am today, I would like to thank you.

I wish to thank you for the memories, for what replays all day long.

One day when I forget about you, I would be dead.

You are still the best thing in my life. So thank you.

Sincerely, Yourself
