Deaf

I live in a world full of deaf people

With nonsense parents always unaware

While their child cries up in their steeple

They neither hear nor do they even care

A time of life, a time of truth

A time of lies, of wasted youth

A time for play, a time for runs

A time for stray, a time of no ones

The kids forsaken long for redemption

Want a second chance to meet the demand

They can't escape, there is no exemption

Living with parents who don't understand

If they could only open up their ears

And realize everything's not alright

They could banish pain, they could banish tears

Then their children could sleep so sound tonight
