A Day In The Rain

The dull lull of rain

On my heart wears a stain

Of all the trials and pain

On this day in the rain.

The sad rain from above

Reminds my heart of

All the times it's not loved

On this day in the rain.

But look in the clouds

There's a light rain can't shroud

Because of it I won't drown

In this day in the rain.

I see birds of a feather

They thrive in this weather

Perhaps I'll do better

On this day in the rain.

I see a small boy

Could that smile be a ploy?

Could I too have that joy

On this day in the rain?

It is now quite lighter

I think my face brighter

For my pain is much slighter

From this day in the rain.
