The Day I See You

Thu, 03/19/2015 - 18:55 -- BahJiy

The day I see you

is the day I find myself.

Every day, I look outside the window

and see what appears to be

never seems to be

what I want to see.

Just today, I see you walking

by the window still that I was by

causally strolling

along the road

down to eternity

leaving me behind.

That day that I saw you

happily wandering,

I realized that it is not me

but you that I need;

so I call out and reach

but rain, oh rain! washes you away.

It splash against the window.

It drips along the border.

It blots away the view.

It obscures you.

Leaving me behind,

lonely, cold, waiting.

I reach out still,

unable to see you go

not now, not then...

not again...

The day I see you

is the day I find myself.

And today, I see you,

wandering happily along the road

to eternity calling;

What is it you are calling?

My name? yes must be.

Wait for me...

I will come for you.
