Darkness to Light

Location

I've bled, I've sweat, and I've even cried tears.
There used to be a time when I was mired in fear.
I know what it is like to question why I'm here.
I've swallowed my pride like a can full of beer.

I've lost the only girl that I've ever called my dear.

Sometimes, I can't help but feel like the end is near.
But, no matter what the trials, I shall persevere.
Prayer, patience, and persistance are my cures.
Giving up is my biggest pet peve.
Through effort, all of my goals I shall achieve.
The devil is a liar, but me he can't deceive.
Even on the longest, darkest road, in God I must believe.
I promise to share all the blessings I receive.
To know you've made a difference is a gift that never leaves.

I'm always one to turn my darkness into light.

So despite the pain that my heart's in tonight,

There's an end to the tunnel, where the sparkle's so bright.

The more demons I face, the harder I will fight.
