Dark

in the dark of the night

i saw him looking at me

my heart skipped with fright

perched like a black hawk deadly, in plain sight

outside my window he sat in a tree

in the dark of the night

the angel of death about to take flight

he is sly and slick, coming unexpectedly

my heart skipped with fright

his eyes make you tremble, and make your fright ignight

he will come, it will be likely

in the dark of the night

he gives you temptation; he says you'll be alright

then dead in hell is where you'll be

my heart skipped with fright

he knows you'll try to run, he knows you might

for he shall make you drunk with death, drowsy

in the heart of the night

my heart skipped with fright
