Curiosity

She is the flame that has sparked this world.

Her influence has spread across the Earth

To erect sculptures from rock.  Beauty from chaos.

The wonders of the world owe their start to her.

Even Science, which has gifted us with Logic and Exploration was first set ablaze by her.

From her embers comes Imagination.

From the first brushstroke to the final crack of the chisel,

Art in roughness and elegance,

Its inspiration began in intrigue.

Written word: metaphor, personification, imagery,

All in an attempt to comprehend our reality

To bring order out of confusion.

Her blaze first burned that question into mankind:

“Why?”

To her I owe my life’s work.
