Court in session ...

Isaiah 59:

2”Your iniquities have separated you from God”

9 “Therefore justice is far from us, nor does righteousness overtake us”

14 “Justice is turned back and righteousness stands afar off”

15”The Lord saw it and it displeased Him that there was no justice”

Here I am in the courtroom ... a witness in a strange atmosphere

Reminds me of a funeral home ... where no one ever sheds a tear

Prosecutor’s words are digging graves ... the judge carves the headstone

and lawyers water artificial flowers to be placed on helpless fears

Exposed to depravity ... drawn into a state of nothingness

At full speed down the slope as lack of mercy crowds both sides

All gone here is human dignity ... here where hearts of stone reside

Where justice seems lost somewhere as truth is hidden out of sight

Men in suits, women in dresses ... darkness ready to proceed

The bored judge dressed in black seems elevated and all alone

A call to order: minds start moving with lawyers to rule the roost

in a hurry to make a buck as compromise sucks marrow from the bone

Vultures flying overhead ... surely no one will be left alive

In this valley of dried bones ... depravity’s victims fall like sewage

A last stand on lost dignity ... with one foot in the preconditioned grave

Waiting to be shoved into the pit ... by justice’s full endurance

A system made by intellect ... will feed hearts of stone all day

Impossible to satisfy their need in their unending appetite

As they burp and feel so good about serving this environment

Later to go filled pride as they condemned the parasites

It reminds me of a graveyard scene ... where the dead bury the dead

Life here seems a metaphor ... to be lived by others in their stead

So it will be to the dried-up ones ... who lost conscience long ago

To raise children in their image ... and form them like little pets
