The Clouds Have Veins

The clouds have veins,

at the end of the day, when the sun kisses the edges,

and the purple spreads along the blue, dancing on the white

Wandering through the skies, and disappearing in the night

The stars have ears,

in the middle of the night, when the moon sleeps with you

and the twinkle reflects your tears, when you cannot hold yourself together

Listening to you all night long, through the darkest times and toughest weather

The walls have eyes,

different shade of blue, strange hues of green

and they saw you crying, yelling at yourself, taking the knife off the shelf

Watching you all day, trying to close their eyes, but nothing ever works, even if they try

The sun has fear,

in the morning when you wake, when it brushes your face

That you won't make it though another day, that you'll suffer again

but what you didn't know was that even the simplest things, can be the greatest friends
