The Cloak

This cloak is heavy and weighs a woman down

This cloak can become ragged and torn over time

This cloak hides what we are truly ashamed of

This cloak is beauty

This cloak is deep

It shields the wearer from any light pouring down

Despite how thick this cloak is the cold seeps to the bones

This cloak lingers even when taken off

This cloak is depression

This cloak burns

It keeps the skin boiling

This cloak changes color at a drop of a hat

This cloak kills hearts and leaves scars

This cloak is anger

This cloak is worn by us all

This cloak can be light as a feather

This cloak can be the weight of the world

This cloak can be worn shortly

This cloak can be worn for a lifetime

This cloak is one none can escape

Everyone will wear this cloak

This cloak is death
