Cheese That Once Was

Hiding under the cheese, there fits an ingredient.
Complementing and emphasizing the cheese in unity.
Some say hiding gives comfort and keeps it sane.
Others say that when the cheese is gone it’s bitter.
The joy and pleasure of combination completes the picture.

Touching too early, in a rush, burns you.
Smelling too soon, in a rush, ruins it.
Seeing, at the right time, perfects it.
Tasting gives the pleasure of satisfaction.
Hearing the chewing of cheese completes the dream.

Sensation brings the composure of all stimuli.
When the piece is pulled, it’s followed by a string.
Strings tell stories, linked to emotion.
Strings could be strong or weak, they could break or resist.
When strings break they show their weakness

Lasting on one last strand, the cheese shrivels.
Cold and withered the cheese,
still sits connected to a brother or sister.
Thrown away, no one remembers a moment of the
lonely piece of cheese that was never digested.
