Bullets

I would not take a bullet for my mother.

How horrible that sounds, I know,

but I would rather lose my own mom and suffer

instead of having her lose her baby girl and drown in sorrow.

 

Perhaps, my brother would take one,

because our mother would deserve to live

and losing her would be like losing the sun,

and the pain in everyone's heart would be massive.

 

But there's one thing I know for sure:

neither my brother or I would take a shot

for the man who dares to call himself our "father."
