Broken Trust

Dear Boy I Trusted,

You were tall and strong

And I was small and trusting

You did the sweet things

But soon you were playing

With my heart

You sent me notes to capture me

You talked soothing tones to manipulate

I almost fell under all your spells

But was saved before going straight

Into the trap

What happened next was ugly

The boy turned into a beast

But with this tale there was no turn

The petal fell, and the boy had ceased

No boy was to be seen

With every roar hatred flowed

Into all ears that would listen

With every scrape of your paw

You ripped my heart and held a gun

Into my reputation

But with the love of true friends

There was nothing in the gun to hurt

They stood by my side until the end

And left your lies poured into the dirt

Harmless to anyone

It took a year for beast to turn boy

And come to me to apologize

Only to do it again with one more try

But I knew it was just lonely cries

To have someone to love

Like Belle I wanted to believe

That you had left the beast for good

But alas you had him hiding again

And broke the remaining trust that stood

With more of your evil acts

With all that has happened to us

I still have decided to forgive

Of all the things you’ve done to me

But the past I will not relive

Trust you must rebuild
