Broken

Location

How does one mend a broken heart?

Let go

Don't dwell on what's been

It's not fair to what's now

Or what could be

Don't be the one to wish "what if"

That "what if" will turn into "why"

That "why" will turn into "pain"

That "pain" will turn into "cries"

The pain and cries intertwine

Without pain there are no cries

Without cries there is no pain

But let me ask again...

How does one mend a broken heart?

Let go

Let go of the fear of being let down

Let go of the cries

Let go of the lies and deceit

If love conquerors hate

That's the only time I'm willing to accept defeat

Can't be afraid to be happy

Can't hold your shield up forever

Eventually you'll want to move on

Move on for the better

So tell me

How does one mend a broken heart?

To mend is to fix

Can't always run away from your problems

Can't leave a lonely heart broken like this
