Birdy Birdy

I am a bird meant for flight,
Beautiful plumage and a mind to the right.
I am fed lies of fame and money,
I am the bird of milk and honey.
I want to act and I want to sing,
But maybe "lawyering" is your thing.
I have no shinies to put forth,
I am the bird of little worth.
I fade to the shadows of birds gone by.
It's almost time to spread my wings and fly.
In one shot I jump to the abyss,
But alass, my wings are clipped.
